Yaks, heavily laden with salt, navigate narrow, sloping paths often carved into cliffs to reach their destination. Upon arrival, the salt is exchanged for cereals, the staple food of the region. This long-standing tradition highlights the immense value of salt, which has been a cornerstone of survival and trade in the Himalayas for centuries.
It’s no wonder that salt, with its remarkable properties and essential role in daily life, has been regarded as a precious commodity throughout human history.

Five-Star Review: I have lymph nodes that swell and Himalayan salt is known to draw out the toxins from the lymphatic system. I wash the area where my lymph nodes are getting large and it has caused them to shrink significantly. I reserve this soap ONLY for this purpose as it is a medicinal. I soon plan to purchase some soap for the soul. Just have to run down the proprietor of this site so I can sniff the soaps to select which one I like.
